hardly ~ when ... や no sooner ~ than...
～するとすぐに...
「～するとすぐに…」という表現は as soon asが有名ですが、他にも hardly ~ when…や no sooner ~ than …という表現があります。
…の箇所に過去の出来事がくることが多く、～は過去完了形となることが多いです。
例文
